Why does my plug-in hybrid’s MPG look so good?
Its MPG at the pump counts every mile, the electric ones too, against only the gas you bought, so it gets better the more you plug in; the app labels it “at the pump”.
The fair figure
The fair figure is MPGe over all the energy, gas and electricity together, on its Garage card and in Stats, with a split into gas-only MPG and mi/kWh. Add the electric miles from the car’s trip screen at each fill-up for an exact split (By drivetrain → PHEV).
