The IRS’s two methods
Self-employed? Stats → Trips compares the IRS’s two methods for each car and tax year: the standard rate on your business miles, or your actual costs times the share of your driving that was business.
A loan counts its interest only, parking and tolls stay out of both, and depreciation is a rough estimate; the IRS’s rules on choosing come with it.
Settings → Prices → Business mileage makes the tax package, a PDF for your tax preparer with the year’s mileage log, odometers, expenses, that comparison and a list of your receipts. Both are estimates, not tax advice.
