Gig work
ProPart of Pro
Driving for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart or another platform? + → Gig pay logs what one paid. Gig work takes the driving cost off, so you see what’s left, per hour and per mile.
What it counts
An entry is for a day or for a payout covering several, with the tips, hours, miles and rides or deliveries when you have them.
Gig work (from Stats → Trips, or Settings → Prices → Gig work) takes the driving cost off at each vehicle’s own cost per mile over the last year:
- Running costs: fuel and charging, maintenance, tolls, parking, washes.
- Every cost: insurance, a loan’s interest and depreciation too.
It shows what’s left in all, per hour and per mile, by platform and by week.
Distance and hours
Left blank, an entry’s distance comes from the business trips you logged for that platform on its days (the trip’s client or project), each trip counted once (for a day’s pay before a payout covering it). An entry with no distance at all counts in the pay, not in the profit.
Pay per hour is over every entry with hours; what’s left an hour, over those with a cost too (a distance, on a car with a cost per mile; it says how many when that’s not all of them).
Below its level
Below Pro, pay already logged stays open, and Gig pay (CSV) in Settings → Data, or on Gig work, exports it.
