Odometer, trips and business
Business mileage and your rate
ProPart of Pro
Business, medical and charity trips are worth the IRS standard rate for their date; business trips use your employer’s rate instead if you set one in Settings → Prices.
Your rate, and the CSV
Your rate keeps the currency you typed it in: after you change your currency, no trip is worth it until you type it again in the new one (Settings → Prices says so).
Record what was actually reimbursed and when, and export the business mileage CSV for your records (in miles, like your odometer; free at every level, like every CSV).
Personal, and outside the readings
Stats → Trips counts the miles the odometer shows outside your logged trips as personal; choose “Logged only” there to count just what you logged.
A trip before a car’s first odometer reading or after its last isn’t in what the odometer shows, so its shares of your driving leave it out and say so. With a starting odometer set, the trips before the first reading count from it when they fit in the miles up to that reading (a new car’s first trips).
