I didn’t fill the tank all the way
Choose Partial under Did you fill the tank? Its fuel is added to the next full tank, so nothing is lost and the number stays right.
Full or partial
Choose Full tank only when the pump clicked off: a fill-up marked full that wasn’t makes that tank read too good and the next one too bad.
MPG is measured from one full tank to the next: the miles on the odometer divided by all the fuel added in between. A partial fill-up adds its fuel to the next full tank.
