The last choice, Trip cost, works out what a drive will cost before you go: pick the vehicle, type the distance one way (or turn on There and back) and how many share it.

It starts from your own average and the last price you paid (or your home electricity rate, at your usual charging time when you’ve set one), else the EPA rating or your target and the average price; change either.

With the tank size it says how many fuel stops to expect, starting full. A plug-in hybrid can be costed on fuel or on electricity, each from its own figure (the split of its fuel and charging, as on its Garage card) when the log has one.
