MileWorks

Your data

Restore or import

Import a CSV restores a backup (vehicles, entries and settings; anything already in the log is skipped). It also brings your history over from Fuelly, Fuelio, Drivvo and Road Trip MPG, or reads a spreadsheet.

From other apps

It also brings your history over from:

  • Fuelly (the website’s or the app’s export).
  • Fuelio (a vehicle’s backup CSV, unzipped).
  • Drivvo (History → export).
  • Road Trip MPG (Share → CSV).

Their fill-ups, charging, services and other costs come in your units, with each vehicle added to the Garage or put on the one you choose. Trips come from MileIQ, Everlance and TripLog (Bring trips over, in Odometer, trips and business).

Or it reads a spreadsheet: a date, an odometer and the fuel and total for each fill-up.

Units, Lite and repeats

A MileWorks fuel log comes back in whatever units it was exported in (its column names say), an older one in miles and gallons too.

On Lite with two vehicles in use, a vehicle an import adds is parked (it says so first, and a single one’s entries can go on a vehicle in use instead).

A repeating expense in a backup whose payments are long past due asks before they’re added.

  • Restoring an older backup keeps what you’ve edited since: a corrected payment or fill-up isn’t added again. An entry for a vehicle that’s in neither the backup nor your Garage is left out and named.
  • The charging, mileage, maintenance, expenses and gig pay CSVs are for reading: to bring entries back, import a backup.
