MileWorks

Your data

Moving to a new phone

On the old phone, Settings → Data → Export everything (CSV); on the new one, install MileWorks, then Settings → Data → Import a CSV. Every vehicle, every entry and your settings come back, but not the reminders: turn those on again.

Step by step

  • On the old phone: Settings → Data → Export everything (CSV), and save the file where the new one can reach it (email it to yourself, a cloud drive, or on Android the automatic backup’s folder).
  • On the new phone: install MileWorks, then Settings → Data → Import a CSV and pick it.

Every vehicle, every entry and your settings come back, and importing twice adds nothing.

The reminders (Settings → Alerts, the weekly summary’s day and hour with them) and the welcome messages’ switches and waits aren’t in the file: set them again on the new phone, which asks before it sends any notification.

Photos and documents

Photos, receipts and documents aren’t in the file. Your phone’s own transfer may bring MileWorks across with them (Google’s cloud backup on Android leaves photos and documents out), but export first anyway.
